Thanks

So did you insert an easyreview command on the post that it is not showing up in?  If so could you paste it here so I can take a look at it?

If you did not enter an erb command, try pasting this sample one in your post:
[easyreview  cat1title="Category" cat1detail="Create up to 8 rating categories, more than enough to accomplish most review formats." cat1rating="3.5" cat2title="Sound" cat2detail="While voiceovers were charming, the game really lacked in the variety of sounds, and the music was repetitive." cat2rating="2.5" cat3title="Gameplay" cat3detail="Where the sound and graphics faltered at times the gameplay is outstanding." cat3rating="4.5" summary="This optional summary is automatically calculated. You just provide the text."]

If that does not show up, please provide the link of the page it should be on.  I'd be more than happy to study it.

thanks

Ok thanks for getting back to me.  No 3.2.1 is fine, use that a lot here.

I see on your page the plugin's css file is loaded ok.  I see the files are installed.  I thought maybe the easy table creator plugin was an issue as it plays with tables (and erb uses tables) but after installing it they coexist fine.

Does the plugin's admin page work ok?

Well at this point I would say its a plugin or theme conflict of some sort.

Can you provide the plugins you are using, or temporarily disable all but ERB and see what that does?

thanks

I disabled plugins and still nothing. you put the shortcode in the HTML section of your pages or post text entry section right?

You put the shortcode text within any page or post (but not a sidebar widget or comment, unlike some of our other plugins).

99.9 precent of the time this is a plugin somewhere that unwittingly breaks shortcode parsing.  When you disabled all plugins, this includes all of them, right?  Nothing like the google optimizer or supercache or livesig running?  I just want to make sure (supercache is not known for breaking short codes but you could be viewing an old cached post).

The other (rare) possibility is you have a theme that makes shortcode parsing optional.  Does it have a shortcode disable/enable option?  You can use a universal shortcode to test:
[gallery]

Start a new post and add an image to it's gallery (the media button at the top of the edit post) and then enter [gallery] in the body of the post and click on  "preview changes".

If it is one of the two items I mentioned, you really want this fixed as it will hinder your ability to really customize your site going forward.

no i did not put the shortcode in a widget it was in a page. i deactivated all plugins and only left ERB running....nothing! i do not have a shortcode enable/disable option. not sure i understood the [gallery] tip...i uploaded a picture to a post and placed the gallery tag in the body i got the picture and the tag in words displayed so...[gallery] nothing else. what was supposed to happen?

Erm this is really embarassing but it seems to work now!!! i decided to give the code you gave me one more try in a new page and it showed up. i did not disable any plugins it just worked. maybe it was because i used a new page not an exisiting page like before i have no idea, but it seems ok now! i will persevere and let you know what happens when i try to change colour etc.

Oh good.  Do you have a caching plugin like supercache?  Maybe you had inadvertently enabled lockdown content or some somesuch.  It sounds like a cache issue but evenso, get back to me if you have any issues.  Always glad to lend a hand (even though I didn't help much this time)
