(added in 4.2) Marking as read...
« on: March 30, 2011, 03:12:21 AM »
Hello again :) a cool feature would be the possibility for the app to mark as read(optional) when scrolling through news as River of News does... :)

That can certainly be done.  You want articles to be marked as read when the article title becomes visible as you scroll through the list of articles?

Its finished and in beta test for 4.2.

WOW did it come out nice!  What a great idea, thanks!

To enable it you will go to global settings/display and there is a new area called "When Article Title is Shown".  Im not very imaginative :)  Under this section is a new switch called "Mark as read".  Set it to ON.

Now, as unread articles appear, they are lightly faded to a grey background (to signify they are new).  The articles are silently marked as read, including your google acct if enabled.

The fading to grey background of the article title is the only indication you get that the article was once read.  Folder and feed unread counters tick off in real time.
