Easy Review
« on: June 17, 2012, 11:30:16 AM »
Is this currently working with Wordpress 3.4 ?
It is perfect for what I am trying to do, but even with all other plugins deactivated (except for yours), it will not pick up the shortcode.

Built in shortcode works. Just not this plugin.

Thanks!

Hmmm.  Can you post the shortcode here?  I'll study the plugin using it.

Anything.

Your example code right from the product page posted will just show as cleartext.

[easyreview title="An (optional) title goes here" cat1title="Category" cat1detail="Create up to 8 rating categories, more than enough to accomplish most review formats." cat1rating="3.5" cat2title="Sound" cat2detail="While voiceovers were charming, the game really lacked in the variety of sounds, and the music was repetitive." cat2rating="2.5" cat3title="Gameplay" cat3detail="Where the sound and graphics faltered at times the gameplay is outstanding." cat3rating="4.5" summary="This optional summary is automatically calculated. You just provide the text."]

If i posted that on my site, it would show up as it does here in the forums, cleartext. The plugin doesn't seem to pick it up (it is active and all other plugins were disabled to test).

Running latest wordpress - 3.4

Ok thanks I see.  I'll check it out.  Should work of course.

If you can put a temp page showing what you see I'll also study that.

I'm away from my Mac but just looking from my phone did you enter that in HTML editor mode or visual editor?  If visual the editor inserts HTML formatting codes and whatnot that break wp parsing

I'll get back this evening to see for sure

also, (slightly off topic), is there a way to resize the whole thing?  Like constrain the parent table/object ?

Will that work for you

Take a look at that same example page. It is working now, but you can see that it is just HUGE.

Is that the theme stylesheet taking over? What would you recommend?

Overall rating showing up in Excerpt of site.
« Reply #11 on: June 18, 2012, 02:37:55 PM »
Hopefully I can explain this correctly.  I have Easy Review Builder and it is working perfectly, I even put a custom logo set in there and got it working great.  My question is, on my blogs category page I show an excerpt and they can click to read the whole article, which is where the easy review is shown.  Is there away to put just the final overall rating in the excerpt?  I don't want the whole rating in the excerpt just the overall final rating, hopefully enticing people to click and read the whole article.

www.AverageGuyGolf.com check out course reviews and equipment reviews to see what I mean.

Thanks

well I think its the icon that is creating such space.  There is very little margin or padding anywhere really

Im not really sure how to know when we are being rendered in an excerpt vs the post.  I like your idea though.

are you able to control what parts are within the excerpt?  As in use two short codes?
Maybe we could add an option to show only the excerpt and you use the shortcode twice, one for the excerpt and one for the main body.
